Sam Wick

Managing Director

Sam Wick is the Managing Director of PTK Capital, where he leads investments, portfolio management, operations, and new business ventures. With over 30 years of experience across media, technology, and consumer sectors, Sam has a track record of building, scaling, and investing in transformative companies.

Before PTK, Sam was a Partner at United Talent Agency and Head of UTA Ventures, where he co-founded and launched businesses with top cultural figures including Seth Rogen, Emma Chamberlain, Issa Rae, and Ryan Seacrest. He also founded and ran  UTA.VC, the agency’s venture fund, and served on multiple private company boards.

Earlier in his career, Sam held senior leadership roles at Maker Studios (acquired by Disney), MySpace, AOL, Mp3.com, and Sony, contributing to key M&A deals and product innovation.  Sam is an active investor and advisor with a portfolio of 50+ companies including Masterclass, Patreon, Thrive Market, Consensys, and Gemini. He also mentors early-stage founders through leading incubators and accelerators.
